Nok 6220 vs 6230 In TX
Evidently the 6230 is not available in my calling area, only the 6220.
Is it likely that the 6230 will be added later, or is this just another marketing gimmick? 😳

6220, or 3220, or 6620? I'm not familiar with the first model. The 6230 not being available likely isn't a gimmick. They're about to release an updated version of the 6230, which is the 6230-ENS. The 6230-ENS should be out VERY shortly, but they've stopped shipping the regular 6230s to deplete the stock of them first.

I'm totally with you on that Shawn... I think they just changed the model number to catch up with what was actually in the phone. It has a new SKU, so therefore it's a new model even though it may not have changed much. There may be many other changes, but since the cost didn't change I didn't bother to read up on it.

The 6230 was discontinued to make way for the 6230 with ENS capabilities, followed by the 6230i which is the same phone with software tweeks, a 1.3 MP camera, and an improved screen.

It might be this month as the phone is listed on the May 8th-31st price sheet. Pricing is the same for agents.......$138. Your guess is as good as mine. Add this handset to the $25000 question of where is the Moto V635, Moto a630, and Nokia 3220?

I know the Memphis DC has exhausted their inventory of regular 6230's. Someone on this forum reported that they took one of the last 2 listed in Cingular's telsale data base.

i went to a cingy store here in LA on Friday and they had like 5 6230b's left. i managed to pick one up and thank god i have a 30-day return policy.. i didnt even know they were supposed to release another version of the 6230. hopefully i will be able to exchange it for the new 6230i!! i should have waited another couple weeks!!! 😢

But if you waited just another 3 months, you could have picked up the 6230ix .......nah, just kidding.

ON the box look for the sku 63627. This is the ENS version. If you buy 63371 it is the old phone. It really doen't make a difference.
