Need a phone with strong reception
My husband needs a phone with really strong reception. He is working at two different locations, both have marginal reception on part of the property, slim to none on the rest. This is with his current Sony Ericsson W518a. He previously used the SE W550i, it was a little better but got beat up to the point of barely staying in one piece.
We've been reading the reviews of the Moto Tundra. It seems to have great reception but iffy earpiece audio. The audio can be managed with a bluetooth headset, we think. It isn't in stock on the AT&T website, we haven't checked the stores yet. He doesn't need anything but a phone, having a camera and music are a plus, anything else would be unused.

The tundra isn't a current ATT phone so unless you're on an authorized dealer's website that still has stock it might be hard to find.

I took the Tundra everywhere, and no matter where I went, it held onto 5 bars of 3G coverage. The external antenna does its job well in collecting AT&T's signal. It never dipped below 5 bars in my entire time with the phone, not once. I've never seen a phone do that. No longer in stock on wirefly.
Found them on letstalk though.

it says while supplies last because it's not a current phone. So scoop one up if that's the phone for you.
It may be on some other retailers as well if it happens to be sold out by the time you get to that link.
Just make sure you select you have existing service so you don't end up with a new account, that can get messy. They're an authorized retailer so they'll renew your contract on the same account with the same #.

While there are lots and lots of things I don't like about Motorola's (non-Android) phones, they do a really, really good job with their antenna design. Only Blackberry comes even close, overall.
Regardless of what carrier you're on or what part of the world you live in, if making and holding calls is your primary reason for having a cell phone, find the physically largest Motorola you can get your hands on and stick with it.

Thank you for the help. I was able to find one Moto Tundra locally and also found them through the Letstalk link provided here. The store was double the Letstalk price, so I ordered it online. It should be here next week. I'll report back with the signal results in case any one else might benefit from the information. I appreciate your taking the time to respond.
