Hello. I just got out of my t-mobile commitment and i'm looking to At&t and verizon next.

With t-mobile i got screwed on my samsung memior because they counted e-mails as text messages and that hurt my monthly text allowance. Does this crap happen with AT&T? I'm looking to get the Iphone. Thanks.

With any higher-end device, you will be required to be on both an unlimited data plan and an unlimited text plan. Email do not count as texts, but it should not matter, as you will be paying for unlimited texts and data.

Not if you buy an iPhone, no... I believe all major cell carriers require buying into data packages with any smartphone.

Sprint's $69.99 Data 450 might be an idea, if they have coverage in your area. You can use a smartphone (I recomend Hero), you'll get unlimited text/data, as well as unlmited calls to any mobile phone in the US. Minutes are for landline-use only, so the plan is virtually unlimited (unless you have a lot of friends who still use landlines, or run a business that would recieve a lot of landline calls).

Not sure what pricerange you're shooting for, though.

yea i've heard most carriers require the data plans with smart phones but the unlimited text too?! my price range is low. low low low.

i was lookin to get 39.99 for 450 rollover minutes. the 30 dollar unlimited data plan and then a 200 text message plan for 5 bucks or something. MAYYYYYBE 15 bucks for 1500 text, pic, and im messages.

i was hoping for this plan with the iphone but i dunno.

You do not have to have unlimited text there is a 200 text for five dollars. Always check the website before you check here. Obviously there are people who are answering that don't have the service. If you get the iPhone there are free apps for texting if you don't need mms. 😉

You can send a email to someone in your text message folder, instead of the number you put the person who you are trying to send the email too in its place. When they receive the eamil its going to say your cell#@ whatever carrier you have. com. To answer your question, Yes they are considered to be part of your text plans. Try it out it works!
