I would never pay that much myself, but if someone were to buy it for me (through business) I wouldn't turn it down. And it would be nice to have the 6230 and the S710A. How much would full retail price be on it (if I decide to have someone buy it for me through work)???

You need to be the person in charge of buying well over $5 million/year in materials off of a particular salesman. Luckily, I work in purchasing, so I am that person that buys all the stuff.

I hope nobody you know paid $900 with no contract for the RAZR. We (agent) sold it for $600 no contract.
As for how the 710 can be so much cheap, it's parts. The RAZR was made of VERY small and thing parts... obviously. The 710 doesn't have to pay as much for such tiny materials, so therefore the cost isn't quite as high. It's nearly there, but not quite... especially for all the features it has.
Oh, and yeah... 710 $549.99 with no contract. If you're buying $5 million a year off somebody, you might get it cheaper though.

I'm getting it free. It is my vendor that will be buying it for me. I was just trying to find out how much he will have to spend if I decide that is what I want. I can't really think of another phone that would be as good (I already have the 6230), can you?

If it lives up to the hype, then no I wouldn't think there would be a better phone. I'm waiting for a few more personal experiences with the phone before I begin courtship, but so far I've heard only good things about it.

I dunno. I thought I saw that it was $899.00 without a contract in a store here in Pittsburgh when it first came out. But I could be wrong.
The store was an ATT store though, so I don't know if that would be a COR store or not, since it was right after the merger took place.

My very first phone was a motorola, then I was nokia for long time till they change way headset connect type (I require loopset for my hearing aid), because they don't have universal 2.5mm jack I dropped nokia, and now will get Treo 650 to replace both my nokia phone AND PDA.

I use a Motorola V400! I LOVE IT! Even without Bluetooth and Edge but it does suck that the V551 came out 2 weeks after I got my V400. But for my next phone I'm gonna get a RAZR or a V635, those phones ROCK! MOTOROLA RULES!!!

I have used several phones lately. I was in the V551 and hated it! The screen was going out from day 1, and the battery malfunction is a pain. I went to the E317 and it is okay. Not all of the features that I like to have. I used the 6620 for a day, and loved it! I am currently in the 6230 and it is awesome. I haven't been in a nokia for a while, and I forgot how much I loved them. They just seem to do just about everything right. Motorola has gotten cheap on us, and I am done with them. The Razr is cool I guess, but for the money, it is HIGHLY overrated!

For my personal line, I use a Nokia 8390. Yes it is an old phone, and just 1900mhz, but I love it. I got it brand new from ebay for $50 with 2 new batteries.
For my buisness line I go back and fourth between my Moto V551 and Moto V600. My wife took my V3. I use the Moto Hs850 headset and it is great. I did have the HS810 before that. You would be surprised how many people will buy headsets when you let them use yours.
