I work for CellONE, but i thought I could get more feedback in this forum. 🤭 The story begins on Saturday. This guy came into my shop saying he needed a phone and fast. he broke his old one and was going out of town in a few hours. I checked he account (his dad's) and found that they weren't able to get reduced pricing on a phone until June. I explained and he asked how much a new phone would be now. I told him all i had in stock was a $200 phone (the truth) and that all the other stores in the area were closed now (came in at 1:58PM) so he was pretty limited in his choices. I told him he could shop on eBay, but he reiterated that he needed it now. I thought for a bit and remembered that I had a customer that had an extra audiovox 8410...

I work for an authorized agent. It seems to me that the people that you go out of the way for the most are the ones that complain about everything. I have given, no money in my pocket, used phones to customers in the chance that they might activate other lines in the future. What do I get in my thanks, this phone doesn't have good ringtones, it's not a flip phone, etc. I think I am going to go to the alternative and start concerning myself with making money than customer satisfaction.

What you experienced is the common garden variety doo-doo head. Ignore it, you'll still be a cool person in the morning and Mom will still be her same biznatchy self... BTW, good job on going above and beyond, that was a VERY cool solution! Golf clap... 😉

when i did it, i felt pretty good about myself, you know good deed for the day done, check that off the list. i am a basic caring person, i know that gets me stepped on quite often, but i like to help people (i am also an EMT). I just don't get why some people just can't be happy, i mean, her son was happy, why can't she be happy for that?

I have a theory that some people just aren't happy unless they're actively PO'd at someone or something. Since you can't please these jerks no matter how hard you try, save your energy for the ones who DO appreciate it.

I just want to know, though, if there's a store out there that sells pre-twisted panties, because it sure must take some time...

My therapist used to tell me that there are types of people out there that can never be happy no matter what you do. To this you must give the response "Well bless your heart". I feel sorry for people that can not experience the feeling of happiness.

Probably it was having the horrible example of Mom around while he was growing up that gave him the perfect template of how NOT to be!

Because some people are just mean. And have no gratitude. I thought that was sweet!

Well I think that you went above and beyond the call of duty, anyone w 1/2 a brain can see that....can you imagine the poor man's childhood if his mother is still trying to fight his battles ....maybe that is why he was trying to get out of town hahah LOL 😁

i do gotta feel sorry for him. I had a neighbor family once. the dad was nice and got along with my dad and the daughter and i would play racket ball against the garage, but the mom would call the cops cuz our dogs would bark, or because my dad was making too much noise fixing the car, or we were grilling on OUR deck and the smoke hurt her eyes. she was awful. i kinda feel bad saying all this tho, cuz she died of cancer last year. oh, also, it was okay for HER dogs to bark and get loose into our garage, but one of ours gets out and it "hello 9-1-1, my neighbor is a disturbance and i'd like him arrested!"

There have been some studies which indicate that start and the spread of cancer might be linked to stress and negative attitudes, so maybe she gave it to herself...

thank you all for your support, she came back with her son to say she was sorry. I guess her son really got on her case when she told him what she did, so, being a nice guy, he made say "Sorry". 🤣 Satisfaction 🤣

I think the most twisted thing about this goes back to what YouOttaKnowBetter said...

Why are parents fighting their older adult children's battles?

It had been an epidemic in society lately...

I had a friend that I hung out with for quite sometime at work, I thought she was cool for 4 years...she was never really that engaged with my life, but she was fun to talk to...

Well, one day she went off on me because I told her not to take what someone says here (at a call center seriously)

Her mom calls me and tells me off a couple days later...

This girl is 26...

It's scary

It is an epidemic in society

WOW...I think that was way worse than what I went through. I mean, it's not like I ever have to see either of them again, but you have to work with her. Man, that is really sad. When I turned 16, my parents let fight my own battles. They may advise me, but they won't fight them for me, even if I asked them too.
