Call me old fashion, but I still believe that the best blackberry is the curve 83xx series. It seems to me like the newer blackberry's all look pretty much the same, and don't have their own identity. Why even call a phone something different if you're going to give them all the same look, and mostly the same features (except no wifi, sorry verizon and sprint).
If there's anybody out there that upgraded from the 83 series to a 8900, bold, tour, etc. I would like to hear what you think about it. If it's an improvement over the curve, is it a big enough improvement to pay more for the phone?

I went from the 8300 to the 8310 to the 8330 to the 8900. Each has been an upgrade in itself, no complaints. The average person won't know the difference of course. Being in the industry I try to keep with the times. As far as the 8900 goes I love it's size, especially against the Bold. That was one of my main reasons to get the 8900. My other was that I'm in a 2G area so the Bold did nothing for me over the 8900.

I had troubles with my 8310. I loved it, dearly, but the issues I had with it made me end up selling the sucker on ebay and going back to my Nokia 2610. Call me old fashioned but I am in love with it. It's a phone. It's what I need. Plus, I love the keypad on this phone. I never hit a wrong key and I have big clumsy fingers.

I went from the original curve, to the 8900, then the bold. I dropped the Bold in the ocean without insurance and now I have the freaking magnet phone until I can afford full price for another BB. As far as the three I have had, I love the keyboard on the Bold, but the original Curve is more comfortable for me as in size in my hand and seems more multimedia friendly and simple than the other two. I've also had the pearl and would never have it again.

I went from the 8310 to the 8900.

Pros-
Faster processor
More Memory
Camera is 50x better
Beautiful screen
Easier messaging and email setup
Better size

Cons-
Trackball is set in too deep
Battery life isn't as good
keys are more crammed(keypad on 8310 was simply the best)
8310 signal seemed to be more solid, but I haven't noticed a decrease in service.

The only major improvement from the Curve to the Bold is the internet speed seeing that, as you probably know, the Bold is 3g and the Curve is not. In all honesty if I could get a Curve that is 3g I would switch to it cuz I like the size of the Curve better. my opinion, if you don't us the internet alot, there is absolutely no reason to upgrade.

Which reminds me, if the curve 8900 came out after the bold, why WHY wouldn't it be a 3g phone? Some times blackberry confuses me.
