I use to owe at&t 1800.00 thanks to my ex husband....
Now they say i can get it back for an 800.00 deposit...

You're lucky with the $800. Usually if you owe AT&T money after any given amount of time you have to pay it to get service again. And as far as the deposit goes you could have perfect credit but when you owe money like that to them you're more or less blacklisted, $800 is the highest it goes, and probably will always be.

Sometimes, however ATT is a little reluctant to bring back people who owed them money for a period of time. It may go down a little, but I doubt it would go away.
