I am looking into a new phone. I had an iphone and an Iphone 3g which I really liked but I am not sure if i want something diffrent. Des anyone have feedback or suggestions. I am thinking of these in the following order

Iphone 3g
Bold
N96.... how would this worked unlocked... I have never bought an unlocked phone so is it crippled?

I would stick with the go with the Bold or the Fuze.

I can tell you unlocked devices may work to make and receive calls but data is going to be a problem. we don't have the data configurations for the unlocked devices and are unable to supprot them. Plus if you purchase from AT&T you will get a 1 year manufacturer warranty (assuming you buy brand new device). If you purchase an unlocked phone, you may get a deal but no replacement options except to purchase a new one and you may not get another deal.

As an escalations agetn for AT&T, I've heard more complaints about the Iphone than I have about the Bold or the Fuze. I understand that one has been out longer than the others.

It comes down to what you are wanting to use it for. If i...

If you get the n96 or any nokia you won't have any problems with data. Nokia has a device setup wizrd that automatically detects network settings for gprs and mms. Worst case scenario you go to nokiausa.com and send the settings to your phone. The other advantage with this is that you only need to pay for the $15 medianet to get web. The disadvantage is that you don't get the proprietary services like cellular video or ptt. But unlocked phones typically run smoother and don't have all the at&t crap on them. I mean seriously, who's loser idea was it to put media mall as the first link in the menu on every damn phone. There are trade offs with unbranded phones but the advantages far outway the disadvantages.

I've had the N-95 and now if have the fuze. The only dislike i had about the n-95 was it was inconsistent when it came to getting my push e-mail when not on 3G network. I personally like the n-95 better. If you need a phone for work and e-mail go with the fuze. If you want a phone that does a lot of stuff go with the n-95. You can buy one a best buy or direct from nokia. When I bought mine nokia told me i had a 1 year warrenty on the phone, and a 30 day exchange for any phone. After the 30day you can only exchange for the same phone.

There is nothing wrong with unlocked phones, I have an k850i unlocked and I got the nec info to config my data...and it works fine, and no unlocked phones usually have more features, that you don't have to pay for.

Stick with the iPhone or go to the bold... you can't be disappointed with either. I would say stick to the iPhone unless you got serious business motivations. The bold is an awesome phone, but not build for pleasure as much as the iPhone, its more along the lines of a CIA server vs a home laptop you got from granny who found it at a discount store.
