Phone recommendations?

The Z9 is an easy phone to use. Just because it supports features a customer will not use does not mean it is more complicated. A customer who has no interest in GPS won't be hindered by the phone's ability to use it. A customer who is not interested in voice dial will probably not even realize it's a feature. If the friend is traveling to Japan or Korea, he would need a device that also has the 2100 mHz UMTS band, which the Z9 does not have. Devices with tri-band UMTS/Quad band GSM are Sony Ericsson Z750a, Blackjack II, Tilt, and TREO 750. My rec would be the Sony Ericson - I have had great results with their products, and it fits the bill for his use.
