Ok, heres my problem! I have an moto v555. I live in a rural area. Service is scetchy in alot of places. I usualy have decent service. but there is one place i need service and i dont have it. My brother has the exact same phone with at&t and has great service in the area I need service. I have called at&t and they said they did what they could to fix it. (but never told me what they did). And I still have the same problem. So i went back into the store and they gave me 3 different phones to try. I put my sim in every phone and no service! So I tried my sim in my brothers phone that always has service, I had service for about 1 min, then nothing!! This tells me its an issue with the service itself(i think). I have been with at&t for about 3 years, and I dont believe they purchased another carrier in my area. I am from the Southern IL area. And yes, I am on a nationwide plan (and so is my brother!)
-The person in the store i talked to said he called some kind of a technician, and he said the area i am in i am right between two towers and I dont have priority (or something like that) on one of the towers. To me that dont make since that my brother does though.

I honestly can't remember the term but tech support needs to push something to your phone. Your probalby not getting tower priority because neither knows which to take you.
Oh wait, call them and tell them you need your IRDB updated. Intelligent Roaming Database, meaning you might not be listed correctly and those towers could be rejecting you.

ok, I had them update the roaming database, and I restarted my phone. I had service for about 1 min, then nothing. This is what usually happens when I just restart the phone itself. I am really confused now!!

Considered a new phone? Perhaps a Motorola V3xx or Sony Ericsson Z750a? I can't imagine that phone helping the problem even if it isn't the problem.
