Facing Early Termination but....

I know that there was some ruling recently issued by the gov't but I'm not sure where things stood for those customers who were willing to terminate their contract with ATT.

Does anyone have the scoop on this? I'm considering moving to Verizonwireless.

But would like to keep my same number...

In California it was ruled that Spring must pay back ETFs. They'll file against it I'm sire.

If you have any legitimate reason to move companies they let you out no penalty. Off network usage, moving to a non service area, death, are a few to name.

Chances are you'll get charged. You signed it, you got a discounted phone, you cancel, they charge you to recoup the phone cost. I think the California judge is a moron, it's that simple. Sprint did nothing wrong and now they will lose more money because of customers that didn't want to own up to the contract they signed.

I recommend selling your phone on ebay to help out with the ETF. I know there is a loophole to get out of verizon, but nothing right now for AT&T, good luck. Why would you want to switch to verizon anyhow?

The LG Dare is a great phone! Come on over to Verizon, I love them! The Dare offers a large 3 inch touch screen with a virtual QWERTY keyboard that makes texting and web browsing quick and easy. Pictures come out perfect with the new 3.2 megapixel camera and camcorder with advanced features like face detection for outstanding image quality and the built in Image Editor to customize your pictures. This phone even offers the capability to hold an 8 GB memory card and is VCAST Music capable so you can store all of your music. The LG Dare has considerably better battery life with a standby time of 360 hours compared to the 3G iPhone’s 300 hour standby time. The Dare also has a removable battery that can be replaced with an extended life ba...

you make good points for the guy in question on what to do but when did he ever say anything about he wanted the iphone?? i never saw that so why compare to that phone like its the only reason he would stay with att is cause of that phone?

I mean we do have the LG VU which is an all touch device just like the dare is.

why do all you verizon people that try to get everyone to switch instantly go to everything we have is better than the iphone when noone cares about that phone or even mentioned it.

ridiculous!

In the area of So Cal that I live in, AT&T is letting customers out of their contracts penalty-free because of intentionally sucky service --don't know where you are...

In my opinion its not worth it, Verizon is a good service, but in the end your going to be paying alot more. I have AT&T, and love them, they have their downfalls, but they're pretty good, I get service everywhere, and I might be getting an Iphone3g. I had to pay the ETF to get out of an US Cellular contract, so I'm assuming you will have to do the same.
