For all AT&T Employees
Has anyone else seen an increase in people talking about how bad the service has gotten since the switch to ATT from Cingular. I knew there would be some cause people just are like that but lately i have more and more people come in bad mouthing ATT and talking about how great Cingular was and how much better Verizon is.
Prime example a lady called me cause her phone would not make or receive calls inside her house of office building. But as soon as she goes outside it works. she was pissed smarting off about how "Verizon always had signal inside my house" real snotty like
so just wondering if anyone else is seeing the rise in traffic of these people like i am where my store is

I am not an employee but I know people that work for at&t and they have heard the same thing. One of my friends left at&t because he said they were alot worse than cingular. He said that cingular was alot better. I am not in contract with any carrier and I am trying to decide between at&t, vzw, and sprint.

honestly i would take either VZW or ATT depending on where you live. i mean yea ok im saying Choose between them and i work for att but honestly they are both decently matched. With Verizon attempting to buy altell they will grow the coverage area but at the same time they will have to sell off part of one of the coverage spectrums to get rid of the dual coverage areas so ATT may have a chance to pick those up(dont know where they are located) but that could benifet you for one and not the other
All i can say is try them out and see what you like better for the money and for what you do.
And i do aggree Cingular was alot better especailly with customer service

I live in NC. At&t wants me to drop a $500.00 deposit 😲 so that is something I have to think about and VZW wants $400.00. There really isn't a difference in prices to me. I will be paying $16.00 a month less with at&t. I do know that either way I want a Blackberry Curve 😁

Wow thats not to bad if you think of the saving you get monthly and the deposit difference. I am in NC myself and my Blackberrys are on sale till friday or saturday one for $49.99 after Media discount and mail in rebate. They will be going back to $99.99 after rebates in the next few days.

deposits suck.. experian ranked you as high risk...I do not know what Verizon uses but it almost sounds either way you will be paying the same with both companies.

500 doesn't necessarily mean high risk. It can also mean no credit history.

reception is usally due to device. my phone sucks in my house and my wifes works just fine. do some research and find the phones w/best reception. i'd bet that cust that came in will only get the free phones which generally are not the best phones out there..

Briefly, in a word, has service deteriorated since ATT has taken over, yes. I've been lied to, disrespected and somehow signed up for a new two year contract without my knowledge. I won't go into complete details. It does revolve around a phone I got just over a year ago. I thought I was just getting an upgrade on the phone. But guess what? I signed a new two year agreement in doing so. Seems they neglected to tell me this. HMMMM.

Amen. He seriously thinks AT&T just values his business so much that they'd give him a marked down phone for nothing in return?
What's to stop you from taking that phone, cancelling AT&T right after then selling it on ebay? People need to think.

Since the Cingular takeover of AWS in 2004, to the present day ATT, I think I may have called Customer Service like ONE time (I think it was a VM issue.)
AWS/Cingular/ATT Wireless service, for me in Pittsburgh, has been EXCELLENT.
I am not a current employee....I was an old BLUE employee up until November 2000. I did work for VZW, and I can tell you, that their service is not as good as the ads say they are.
