Even though its "revolutionary" and "ingeneous" in design, as many people think, the phone was and still is UGLY to me. The color of the phone, being black, makes my perception of its look so much better. Strange, but that's the way my brain decides to see it, I guess.

Believe me, I'm not going to carry around a phone that I think looks like a piece of ****.

Yeah, I wasn't extremely impressed with the "look" of the Razr, but when you play with the phone, the quality screams at you.
The Black version has me hooked on the look now too.

until you realize you paid over $300 for a design. when in fact the phones features are comparable to z500 which is 39.99 after rebate. execpt razr has bluetooth. 1 small plus

Where on the box does it say you are not paying for the design?
The ads point out the "form meets function".
I really like the z500. I almost bought one. It's a great value.
Compared to the Rzr however, it feels like a Fisher-Price toy.
Other phones may have more features, but everything on the Moto is a top of the line product.
The screen.
The metal casing.
The battery.
The machined metal keypad.
I wouldn't call bluetooth a "small" thing.

obviously you have never owned a moto phone. Iv'e owned 3. they all suck. conversation breaks up no matter where you are. Use z500 in same place. perfect conversation.

When no one else you know has bluetooth on their phone and you have e-mail capabilities and a data cable it is a small thing.

I like 'em both, just wanted to point out that they both have email capabilities.

Its not that I hate it persay. You are obviously a sales rep and this is the most expensive phone on the market so of course you are going to talk wonderfully about it(would be kinda dumb otherwise as you would be limiting your income). I understand. I call BS on the reception tho. talk to anyone in warranty, ask them about moto phones. I was just giving my opinion about the bluetooth, It is nice to have tho. BTW jaguars usually come stadard with a lot more features than any chevy product so you are making an invalid comparison. I said z500 and razr are comprable in features but way off in price. I'm not angry. I just think moto are a bunch of crooks and I'm a whistle blower(sorry if I hurt your revenue). I remeber 1 good phone they had, 120...

Sales reps make relatively the same off of every phone. If you buy the Razr or get a free one, the amount the sales rep makes may only vary by $5 or less.

good luck holding down papers on a desk with a Motorola RAZR V3, as light as it is it would probably blow right off the desk too.
Yes I know that SE is a better brand than Motorola, that is why I'm waiting for the s710a to be released, but I've used the RAZR and it is way better than any of the older MOTOs I've used.

I dont like that phone at all... The RAZR is nice to look at but I REFUSE to pay that kinda money for the RAZR when I could get the Blue Angel for a little more. 😁

Yes the z500 has 1mb of more memory. It's also a video phone. That's terrible memory for a video phone. Once again, I like the z500.

I don't need a phonescoop compare tool: I have both phones in my hands.
The difference in the screens it absolutely astonishing.

technically speaking there is not a phone out with terrific memory for video.(650mb and above range). not right now anyway. for video 12MB vs. 6MB doen't make much of a difference. 6MB is good for sending small clips which would be all I would do(if i were to use this) with the phone. I'm not trying to watch full movies or anything. I have my beef with SE too. The friggin video isn't in .avi or .mpeg or .mov format. Makes it very difficult to share clips. And you cant read SMS from outer display like manual states. I use most the memory for ringtones. I have over 100 stored right now. no reasonable explanation for this. i'm an addict lol

I know on my 6230 I have a 128 MB MMC and I can store video clips of up to four minutes on that 😈

I have to slightly disagree..I have 1GB for my video phone..but of course that was something I had to buy and add..thats why I said slightly lol

Yes I agree I cant complain..add that to the fact that it is a great friggin phone in just about any aspect you can think of (not ALL just most) and you end up with one happy Cingular customer..MOST of the time lol

True but it is hype that motorola and cingular have portrayed it right... Also motorola always seems to come out with the "IT" phone... THink about it... There was the Startac... Then the V60, then the V400, the RAZR, and now they have the A630 coming out... They may not know how to make the best phone in the world, but they sure do know how to advertise it. 😉
