I guess it depends on how limited a phone you might like. The comparison is like comparing a loaded Accord with a loaded Civic. The Accord just does quite a bit more:

Touchscreen
Larger Screen
Creation and editting software for Microsoft office products

Just to name a few.

Expand my horizons then, please. What else do I need to be looking at? That's available. The new Nokia N series aren't available yet and would be above what I can spend. I suppose a beginner to intermediate PDA, nothing advanced.

You need to tell me how you might use the device and your needs. I can't make a recommendation based on what you need otherwise.

Not much I suppose. Keep track of things, appointments and the like. Small office things, maybe spread sheets, do they do those things? Internet, GPS preferably. Does that help?

Tilt is probably more than you need. The Bold might be as well (high end blackberry device). If you like gadgets the TILT and the BOLD will fit the bill but expect to pay extra for their other capabilities. Otherwise a Pearl or Curve will do just fine. I don't sell many Pearls simply because they are the same price as the Curve after mail in rebate.
