So why $30 or $45 a month for personal or business data?

So what is keeping someone from getting the $30 data package and using it with exchange email?

Help me understand why there's a price difference and why I should pay it. 🤨

It doesn't work. Try it. You'd have to hack ATT and that could get you in trouble.

They charge more basically because they can. It's the going rate, and if you need it you'll pay for it. People can BS about reasons, but if someone else lowered prices they'd lower theirs to compete.

I understand why they raised the iphone data package prices. I just don't know how they could actually monitor which data plan you were on.

Well they don't care which one you sign up on, but you just can't use exchange on the other packages. It won't work. It's just like if you tried to tether on a current PDA packages. It worked in the past, but they got smarter about how it validates when connecting.

because usually the business will pay for exchange access. usually the customer does not need to. if you need access to exchange then your company will pay for it or it will be a right off anyway.
