upgrade
i am posting this question for my parents who have att. they are due for an upgrade and are looking to get pretty much a basic flip cellphone. they are older in their mid 60's. now verizon came out with a phone that is geared towards older people and was wondering if att offered something similar?
thanks

ATT offers a phone called the Pantech Breeze. It has large keys and a large font. I played with one yesterday and it was a good device. It also lets you change the menu layout so instead of having icons it lists the menu items.

don't forget that some stores can get older model phones (d407, Nokia 6010, and others) that are easier to use than some of the more equipped models. Have them look around at the independent dealers and see if there are any deals for them.
...
Any dealer selling the Nokia 6010 should be closed for having inventory older than my mom. Anything before a V3, and that's pushing it, should be crushed.
...
I think the same but there are customers who only want the 6010 (i.e. contruction workers, old people). gotta give them what they want.
...
I honestly think if we quit babying them and move them into newer technology they'll take to it. We don't have the 6010 so we sell what we have. They're construction, we do v365. Old people got the Samsung A437, Nokia 6085, or now the Breeze.
Stores still give away 6010s with contract and then people expect everything free.
...
true, but if i didn't i would lose more customers then i would get. if i could get the v365 on a regular basis it would not be a problem. 6085 is good but most of the construction guys we see don't want a flip at all. in my neck of the woods, most will not pay for a phone if VZW, Tee Mo Bile, or Sprint are giving phones away. I've had people try to get a Blackberry for free cause thats what they want to pay. People are still using old phones that are 3+ years old around here and won't even buy a BOGO phone cause they have to put money down and wait for a rebate. we try to help but we need the cheaper phones to get sales.
