BB Pearl
A friend of mine has a BB Pearl without a data plan. Can anyone else confirm this being a possibility from ATT? I am a current USCC customer and was told there is no way they can give me a pearl without the plan. Thank you for your help.

Actually you can get the pearl without a BB plan... But I (and many others) make a very strong attempt to sell every BB with a data plan. Not neccessarily because of commissions but because we hate returns.

I totally understand what you are saying from the side of a sales person. However I just want the phone because I like the keyboard and the features. So since I was told there was no way to get the Pearl without the data plan do you think I have the right to take my other phone back and say that they lied to me? Thank you for your quick response.

Since we weren't there we obviously cannot comment as to what was said. It is important to remember you cannot get the Pearl AT THE POSTED PRICE without a data plan. Maybe they were lying and maybe they were talking about the price on the wall. The phone will be about $100 more if you don't get the data plan (based on current prices)

Get the phone at the cheap price with the data plan, then take off the data plan once you've gotten your mail in rebate.
