At&t has some awesome phone and the pricing for voice plans are decent but the pricing for the data/text messaging is ridiculous...too high in my opinion. $35 for unlimited web and text??? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Other companies price their plans lower than AT&T because their coverage is sub par.

Coverage/service and price tend to have an inverse relationship in this industry.

And what do they have to show for it? They're in the red and closing stores faster than you can say antidisestablishmentarianism.

If that's best for you where you live, work and play - then more power to you. I'm a former sprint customer (I was 18 and my friend worked at the shack.) and I had a terrible experience. I also live in an area where sprint (and tmo) are both subpar...

what company is best for you all falls on the number one way to pick a phone carrier: who has the best coverage where you live and work.

Exactly. Who cares who has the largest coverage area worldwide or where the buffalo roam. It ony matters where you need it today..

๐Ÿคจ I know it varies from market to market but... We have had at&t's 3G here since november of '06 and sprint is just launching EVDO here as we speak.

Power Vision ($15) is not a PDA plan. It's more like At&t's MEdia Net, which is also $15, meant for usage on lower-end and/or non-PDA phones. It also doesn't include text messaging, it's just data. So bringing it up is pointless, other than trying to inflame others with a supposedly lower price.

Sprint's PDA plan (unlimited internet and text messages) is $30...pretty similar to At&t's $35 PDA plan. Although, Sprint's plan includes their TV, Music, and Navigation. I'm not sure what At&t's plan includes other than data.

It's not meant for PDAs. And even if it was, it's still not a comparison for At&t's plan because it doesn't include any text messaging. Power Vision is the same as MEdia Net.

Also, for PDA devices that require a data plan to get new customer rebates (like the Palm Centro), Power Vision isn't accepted. It requires at least the $25 data plan (no text messaging) or the $30 PRO pack (unlimited text messaging). If you try to order it from Sprint's website, it only gives you the option of the $30 PRO pack.

You're wrong data with Sprint is 15 dollars, just because they try to force you to get the 30 dollar pro pack for rebates that doesn't mean data is not 15 bucks! Go to the store or call, if you don't need txt it's 15 bucks...and please stop comparing Sprint Power vision to crappy media net. Sprint has the largest data network. The majority of att crappy data network is still on edge for Christ sakes...not to mention they will knock you down to 28.8 if you go over their capped limit! Plus anyone with a clue is getting data, txt for free with sero.

All this argument proves to show is how Sprint is devaluing the business and why they are losing customers, money, and will eventually go out of business. When your CEO has to go on TV to assure customers that you're "revolutionizing" the industry by giving away the farm at such a cheap price, then you have to know you are in trouble. All Sprint is trying to do is get out of the red before shutting it doors completely. So enjoy it while you can Sprint customers. Just my opinion.
