Quick question if anyone has it, does it work with media net or do you have to have the black berry package? I'm around a wifi connection just about any time I need it and just use media net for occasional weather checks so I just use the ppu. If anyone knows it'd be appreciated.

Your media net icon will not come up unless your handheld is registered with the blackberry network... in other words, no BIS = no media net.
If you want a way around it - turn the service on, download opera mini - when you're in a wifi area, you can use opera mini.
