DATA PACKAGE FOR THE PANTECH DUO
ok, just got off the phone with an at&t cs rep. im willing to bet she was a noob as she didnt know what the duo was.
anyway she stated they dont have smartphone packages anymore. is this true? or was i mis informed?
what packages are available for the duo? please include prices.
...
There are two types of packages now for handsets, Medianet Packages and Smartphone Packages (funny that she said that because they are ALL smartphone packages now).
The DUO falls into the catagory of a smartphone. Unlimited Data is $30 a month.
...
will this package allow cellular video to work?
...
Actually, I think she's correct. AT&T did away with those Smartphone connect packages for $19.99. Remember those? This was the package for phones like the 2125 and the Moto MPX220 (I think it was MPX, don't remember) Anyway, if you look online you'll only see three types of data packages. Media Net, Blackberry and PDA data packages.
...
AT&T removed the smartphone package, but then re-classified all PDAs as Smartphones. We're not even supposed to call them PDAs in the store. So basically, the PDA packages are now called Smartphone packages.
...
I got that. However, they still call them PDAs online. Even when you try to add the feature it says PDA data connect. I just found that to be silly, that's all.
...
There are only two packages the MediaMax or MediaNet doesnt anything about PDA or Smartphones, i guess the consumer can get either or.

Wow, that's pretty freakin retarded. What's the point of changing our vocabulary if they won't update the print?
Good call AT&T

If you want a data package, then you will need the 30.00 unlim data plan. you can add text features if you text.
