I am considering porting my number to AT&T. I generally have had good luck with Motorola phones. I was wondering which seems to be better the V3xx or the razr2? Or are there better choices? Any advice would help!!!!

well im glad you have decided to come back to the light side my son...anyway, the difference between the Razr2 and XX are minimal, other then physical apperence...they both have great reception, but the Razr2 has a better camera (2mp) the external display on the Razr2 is huge the biggest out of all our flip phones, and the keypad is pretty good size also...the only down side is the price...its $299.99 no rebate...they are both 3G, record video, calender...etc, but the XX Platinum and Chrome Red are sweet colors

i'd go with the razr 2 because of the crystal talk (noise cancellation) which is why the phone is so much more expensive. also a much better hinge design. and buying a phone because of t...

the crystal talk isnt all that great...I usually have my Jawbone set up and it works a hell of alot better then the crystal talk...as for the hinge design I cant argue with that...it is a better design but I havent seen any problems with the hinge on the XX either...I simply stated the XX comes in cool colors I didnt say you should buy it because of the fact...I like the Razr2 and all im just saying its $300.00 bucks and your really not getting a whole lot more. but thats just my opinion

If ya want the V9 then I would chek around on the net cos you may get it cheaper with a new contract. I know that I ended up upgrading to the V9 via Amazon and only paid $99 for the phone. It is crazy that At and T are selling the phone for $300 for new customer! Plus upgrade with them I think is the same price. BUT I got lucky and found it thru Amazon. The phone is NOT worth $300 but it is a nice phone. Still like Nokia the best!

Well, judging from your name, you have only had the opportunity to use motorola's. What features are most important to you in your new phone?

I had vzw before nextel. They seriously pushed LG phones, however a bad experience with the LG VX6000 and crappy customer service led to me leaving vzw and I will never go back to them. Features that are important, a flip phone, bluetooth, camera, 3g, and music player! I would try other brands but have had my best luck with moto's.

Consumer Reports & JD Powers both rate Moto's (especially RAZR's) at or near the top. Usually, only Sanyo beats them, but I don't think AT&T carries Sanyo phones.

LG (life's garbage) phones are crap. My wife's customer is a regional manager for AT&T, and she says that they are most returned phones.

Good luck!

I prefer Motorola and Nokia. Nokia is normally really good for reception, but they are not really into the slim design. Out of the V3xx and the RAZR2, I would say that you should go with the RAZR2 if you have the money. I had a V3xx and it rocks. I got it right after they came out and haven't had any issues with it. The only reason I stopped using it was because I got a great deal on a PDA. As far as Nokia, I would suggest the N75. It has all the features you want and it is a really great phone.

Nokia seems to have alot of hella cool phones that are not even available from US carriers. I wonder why more US carriers don't seem to pickup some of these high end products they have?
