I'm new to the cell phone world, just wondering that has cell phone plan price been dropped the last couple of years?

For example, Cingular offer nation 250 min and 1000 n/w for $29.99, was it used to be more than $29.99?

the prices were the same plan less minutes,the 29.99 have no nigh and weekends,39.99 have 5000 nights and weekends, but thats because all companies are losing money on all these gsm phones,since they pay top dollar for technology that is 10 years old, the new gsm is old in europe ,they all there have TRUE 3G tech, so they cust no breaks to carriers here for anything.

The rate plan prices points are the same as they have been established since late 80's, but now include more promotional minutes.

It is true what Debit mentions above. Hence the fact that there is no FREE phones in a yearly basis upon renewing agreement.

the 29.99 has 250 anytime and 1000 night and weekend, what rate plan are you looking at?
