text from website
i cant find the link anymore, i can do it from sprint, verizon, and t-mobile, but no longer on att's website. did they move the SEND A TXT option os remove it? or am i just not looking hard enough

You have to login into your online account now in order to send text messages from the website.
I believe they moved it under the account in order to stop it from being used to send spam from the main website.

It's still hard to find. After you log in to "My Account," you have to click on "Phone/Device," and then go to the bottom right side of the page. It took me forever to find it when they changed it.

yea, i go to the carrier sites to send my friends funny msgs without my number so i can freak them out. but i guess AT&T doesnt want me having fun 😢

Why not send text from email? Or better yet. If you have AIM just send an IM to +1 (eg. +12125551234) that way you don't need to know who the carrier is or where to find the URL for the carriers web site.

its there, all carriers have that option, but most bury it because they want you to log in n stuff

i didnt think about that, i know how to do that for sprint, its 8885551234@messaging.sprintpcs.com, what is it for cingular?
