Insurance on old phone
soupOct 25, 2007, 11:05 AM
Hi all. I have a Nokia 6230 that I bought from Cingular almost 3 years ago and it has been a great phone and has worked amazingly. However, it is starting to die. The vibrator barely works and on some days there is no audible ring as the external speaker just sometimes doesn't work.
I've been paying insurance on this thing for the past 3 years. Can I make a claim on it? If so, what device would I get in it's place?
Thanks.

probably a 6555 or a bar style phone. give em a call and see.

A 6555? Really? Not. It would be either a 2610 or if you're lucky a 6085. Also note the $50 deductible.

hombre is a hater.
This phone is in a certain category. The phones you mentioned are in the lower category.
You might get a SER w580i or a NOK 6555 if your phone is not in stock. If your phone is in stock they WILL give you your phone. They are ruthless.
all for the $50 deductible

Cool, thanks for all the info. I wouldn't mind another 6230 (had every possible feature I wanted at the time in one device) and the 6555 seems the closest to it. I just need a phone to hold me over until one gets released that I like (candy bar smart phone from Nokia preferably)
Seems like the 6126, or 2610 would all be downgrades and not even worth the deductible.
