😲 I was a somewhat satisfied att customer, i wanted bluetooth since my car is capable, and due to reviews on this site I wanted the nokia 6230 and the only option was cingular. I love the phone but hate the service. It took me 3 hours on the phone on day one to get voice mail to work, next day I took a trip from NC to NY and found service was non-existent most of the way along I95 while my wife was always connected on her old att phone. the help lines constantly route me back to att, even when I ask for cingular gsm help desk.... I am very frustrated and am about to send it all back... anybody with some advice.

Your service is terrible because you are a cell phone customer. The cell phone industry is horrible because of the FCC's regulations, the IRS' taxes, the CEO's greedy budget, and TECH's lack of quality equipment. I know there are a lot of people who are happy with their phone service, but face it, the industry is just like the oil companys, microsoft, the medical field, the government, lawmakers, or any other beaucracy....it lies, cheats, and drains the poor dumb people of their integrity and livelihood. I hate greedy rulers.

Neorask, it seems you are distress now more than before.

I agree with Neorask to a point depending the situation. The reason ATTws went down was because of John Zeglis the ex CEO a greedy person who spent money in things that had no correlation to the industry like purchasing and refurbishing a private jet.

The FCC could be more lenient with the companies so they could upgrade and be more avant garde when it comes to upgrading or implementing new technology.

As far as taxes I don't know if they play a role in not getting service or not, but I have to say that taxes and fees alone might be up to 20 to 25% of a bill (39.99 plans).

I would tell you to forget the bluetooth and get back to your old phone.

WTF does this have to do with his question? politics have nothing to do with his phon having reception or not.

its like answering the question "How do i send a text message?" with "George Bush is an asshole"

Thats generally a great answer to most questions

Well, look forward to some change very quickly....my drive on 95 3 weeks ago from Orlando to Brooklyn was 99% spotless (I pay attention to these things as I am an industry vet of 4 1/2 years).

That was on my ATTWS 6620, so soon you should benefit with what i had..

Give it about a week and it will get better, There are some slight glitches that can occure whenever such a large scale change occurs. You should have 30 days to return it if you are still dissatisfied

I just Migrated from ATTWS to Cingular, the rep told me I could not return to my ATTWS phone and plan once i migrate. Waiting for my phone in the mail. Switched from a Multiband plan and phone to the Moto V551 and the $29.99 plan. I am in the NY area and the tons of people that have migrated so far are happier with Cingular then they were with ATTWS, but its still early, I think I will here more complaints! Cell phones and cell phone companies are not perfect and we have to realize that!

Try learning how to spell! I hope you don't call it "bluth tooth" in front of your customers. Besides the V710's BT is crippled. Who would want a halfed ass feature?

you're joking right? You did not just try to brag on VZW restricted blue tooth... The restrictions on it are so bad VZW might as well say they don't have blue tooth at all... oh... and even at that... how many phones do you have with bluetooth again?
