depends what you want and how much you want to spend. If you have the money get the iphone, if you want an e-mail stud get the curve.

I have both the curve & iphone and I love them both but I think it comes down to what your needs are out of a phone. The curve; while having good multimedia features is a more business oriented phone. It has amazing email capabilities along with decent pda features. The cure also has the best query keypad I've ever used on a phone. It has a surprisingly good camera along with a decent flash. For me the curve took awhile to learn how to use. It also has a very nice looking design.

Now the iphone is a completely different type of phone. It is a amazing device and does everything its hyped up to do. The full html internet is amazing on wifi but a little slower on edge. It has a great and amazingly easy to use camera. Ipod features are somet...

Thank you so much for your help.

I had a question about the iPhone and its memory. Was the 4g one enough for you, or would you recommend the 8g?

And with the curve can you browse the web well?

I love the business features of the curve as well as its functionality, and customization options, and how easy it is to use.

I guess that my main problem with the iPhone is the inability to upload ring tones, and MMS, and no IM.

So I'm pretty much stuck on which one to get, I can afford the iPhone, or the higher monthly price of the curve, so price really isn't a problem. Help!

I have the 4 gig model and I currently have 277 songs and about 7 music videos with room for about 500 more songs So for me 4 gigs was plenty. typically with out video 4 gigs will hold about 1000 songs.

the curve can browse the web good but i think the iphone does a better job. more websites are available in full html. also websites look amazing on the screen. also the iphone has super fast wifi browsing.

I found software that allows you to upload your own ringtones and it actually works. they let you try it for free 3 times and after that its like 10 dollars to buy. its available here

Good comparision vinny. I also have both phones. I will add that the Curve does hold a signal better than the iphone does. I never lose a signal with the curve whereas the iphone signal drops out sometimes and then bumps up to full signal. The iphone display has the best clarity I have ever seen on any phone. That is what made the decision to use the iphone as my mine main phone easier. As you said, the data plan on the iphone is much more reasonably priced but that may be since the iphone does not have mms. Emailing pictures works very well.
You can't go wrong with either phone.

I only noticed the signal jump like you said once. I was in my basement. but the signal on my iphone is just as good as the curve imo. as for mms.. I never really used that anyway The only time I used it was when I was in puerto rico I sent friends and family some pics. The screen certainly is amazing. the last time I was wowed like that over a screen was the sony ericsson 710 which also a pretty nice phone.

the only things i don't like about the iphone are you cant set up hotmail on the email account and periodically when on the internet the screen goes back to the home screen. but that only happened a few times. neither issue is anything major as I would rater check my email on a computer anyway. I'm sure all the little bugs will be f...

Blackberry price plan is pretty reasonably priced... $29.99 for unlimited personal email and data... it's when you have to connect to your work's email ($44.99) or you add MMS/SMS that it gets expensive.

When you really think about it, the Blackberry Curve is the way to go. Not only because Blackberry has been making email devices for over 8 years (this is Apple's first), most peoples' business servers are compatible with Blackberry (I didn't continue to read on after this post, so IDK if you want it for fun or for work or both). The Curve has just as many capabilities as the iPhone, it just doesn't have touch-screen. You can get email, Internet, email and even movies onto your Blackberry... all you need is a MicroSD card and you can get your songs or videos from anywhere, not just iTunes! That's right, expandable memory (the iPhone is default with whatever memory it has... no way of expanding). It also has a removable battery, so it's easy ...

-yes. blackberry has been making phones for awhile ago but apple always releases solid dependable products and the iphone is no exception.

-i have many videos on my iphone that weren't from itunes. a simple mp4 converter does the trick.

-4-8 gigs of memory is PLENTY of storage for a phone. 4 gigs holds 1000 songs alone. 8 gigs 2000 songs. how much more do you want? 4 gig micro sd cards aren't even available yet.

-replacing your battery. how many phones have you owned that you had to replace their battery? I've never replaced a phones battery. Regardless apple always does great with their batteries. I have a first gen. ipod and the battery lasts just as long as when I first got it.

-iphones ipod is amazing. nothing comparable ...

The new ones atleast. The olds ones had garbage call quality. I had a guy call me on his iphone the other day and I couldn't understand half of what he was trying to say. I think the iphone's call clarity is average compared to other devices.

I have a curve with an iphone theme. It's tight. Something that I think gets overlooked about the curve and pearl is the trackball, it really is awesome, like having a mouse. I don't personally need a touchscreen when I can navigate around with the trackball.

The trackball was great don't get me wrong but having the touch screen is truly amazing. You don't realize how great it is until you use it. every "button" is perfectly customized to each program.
lol. when i used my curve every day I found myself passing time by rolling the trackball around..doesn't take much to entertain me ๐Ÿ™‚

but really. either trackball or touch screen I think there both extremely useful and innovative ideas.
