Say you are out and about in an unfamiliar area, and you want to find a restaurant or a gas station, or say you are on a trip and you are looking for this stuff. Instead of just driving around you can look it up based on your location. And people say, that is what the car GPS systems are for. But what if you are not in your car?
I have used VZ Navigator, and I used it a lot for points of interest, it came in handy and was worth the 10$ charge, considering if you buy a good GPS system its going to be more. And plus with the phone you don't have the intereference you do with other GPS systems, especially with BT GPS Recievers.
The only GPS that may be good is a tracking GPS to find out where the kids may be at any given time with your car LOL
There are also people who travel alot and need to know their way around unfamiliar places.
Also vacationers, i went to San Fran for a week and had no idea where anything was. I could have bought a gps unit for my car but that would have cost me a fortune. instead I just paid $10 bucks.
