Is there 3G coverage in the west texas area? I had to reboot my phone today and for about 15 minutes my phone showed as 3G then wnet back to Edge. I looked at the website and found nothing abotu current coverage. I had this happen once before. I would apeprciate any info.

Never mind here's a map. I'd say your phone has issues.

My guess is that they have installed link negotiation software at the cell tower to handle 3G, but don't have the equipment in place. Don't get excited, though. It's probably a standard upgrade to the link negotiation software that they are deploying nationwide. It probably means very little about when 3G will be deployed in your area. I'd have a hard time believing that West Texas is high on the list.

I live in west texas. There is no 3g coverage here which is why i recently switched to sprint after dropping $699.99 on the Cingular 8525. The internet is dead slow and hardly loads at all in areas like Midland/Odessa and Lubbock. the only place my phone ever got 3g or worked well was Dallas.
