What is up with Cingular.com and New Phones?

Today, the LG CU500v and Nokia N75 were posted on Cingular.com. The CU500v is simply the CU500 with video sharing software, but the Nokia N75 is one of the best reviewed and highly anticipated phones in a while. It is a 3G Symbian smartphone with music capabilities. They were posted this morning, along with an AT&T branded LG CU400, but the Nokia was removed after a few hours and the CU500v shortly after. WTF? Do we have them or not? Are they launched or not? Who the (bleep) messed up? Just ranting.

There was absolutely NO launch announcement for the N75 in stores. When I read the story and saw the link this morning I forwarded it to my RAE. I assumed it was an internet only special for awhile, but apparently it's just the webmaster screwing around.

Update: It seems AT&T has underestimated demand for the phone as the product page lists the device as "Temporarily Out of Stock", while others are reporting being able to place orders normally.

No, they DID say out of stock, but now they are completely off the website all together. I love Cingular, now the new AT&T, but WTF?!? Webmaster needs to be fired.

Also, they posted a new AT&T branded music version of the LG CU400 yesterday and it is gone too.

Yep, for half a day, but it was just called the CU400. The only difference in the original and this one was the new AT&T branding and that it had the music icon listed on the website meaning it has music player capabilities. It was $9.99 after rebates, whereas the original CU400 is FREE.

SORRY! I'm just telling you how it was listed as the CU400. You'd figure that since the upgrade to the CU500 is the CU500v (v standing for video share), then the upgrade to the CU400 would be the CU400m (m standing for music player). Although, I never understood phone names. For instance, the Motorola V series. They release them in weird order. For instance, the V365 came out after the V551 and V557.
