Still having signal issues

Ok I have done everything Cingular has asked to figure out the problem I've been having with the signal in zip code 70633. I have a Palm Treo 650 and I can have full bars on my phone. I go to make a phone call, and it drops to 0 bars, although the call goes through. I used to not have these problems. Sometimes the signal fluctuates between 0 bars, 2-3 bars, then 5 bars (full). So far I've changed my sim card, did a warranty replacement, and cingular put in a trouble ticket. The trouble ticket showed that it was "resolved" with no notes, so that tells me nothing was done about it. Since I've done all this, I am still having the same problem. I am extremely frustrated. Does anyone have any ideas on what else I can do?

Well, I do not think Palm actually performs repairs on handsets but you could contact a local repair shop to have them test it.

The thing is, it only happens when I'm in zip code 70633. I have taken my phone to many places and it doesn't do it there, just here.

I don't understand. If the call goes through, why do you care how many bars are displayed?

Becuase when it starts showing 0 bars, the call quality sucks. I sound like I'm under water.

😎 We had to leave cingy because we went through 5 phones. 4 W810 and 1 SLVR. live in 97306 great service every where but where we live.

I had a unlocked krzr, the only issue i had was in one area I would have to keep saying 'what! what! what did you say?' The second line had issues with call quality, sirens before and after a call, static and oops dropped calls. Cingy could not stop the problem and let me out of contract with no ETF. I hope to go back in a year or sooner. they took good care of us.

can't wait to get my hands on some new unlocked toys 🙂 🙂 😎

I know this may sound dumb but.. How often do you turn the phone off and on. It really should be done a few times a week. It really helps! Also with the phone still powered on, take the battery out for about a minute. It sounds simple but, I find it really helps. I have to do this to my Treo 680.

I turn my phone off everyday. I've tried pulling out the battery and rebooting but that doesn't solve the problem. Trust me, I've done everything I know to do. I am somewhat familiar with phone technology. I am an IT specialist. I've heard complaints from other people about similar problems with their phones also.
