All the other carriers have it why not Cingular? i like the fact that they have the roll over minutes but they should have free night and weekends I'm afraid i might go over my 5000 min.

The VAST majority of Cingular customers don't get anywhere near the 5000 minute limit. That's 83 and a third hours.

If you're going to complain about it, you better not be on a $29.99/month plan.

I have not run out of time yet and I have three people talking, one rather into the wee hours. Do you see a need for this for this to happen?

Just some more food for thought, Cingular started the whole Unlimited Nights and Weekends ordeal, and there are very few people who can use up all 5000 of their night and weekend minutes. If you notice, all the carriers seem to switch between some huge number of night and weekend minutes and unlimited semi-annually. A little under a year ago, Sprint PCS was offering 3400 NW minutes, 5200NW minutes, depending on your plan and Verizon was doing the same. You just have to keep your eyes open, changes occur quarterly, so every January, April, July, October there are changes made.

Just an FYI: Cingular did not start the whole Unlimited Nights and Weekends ordeal. That was started before Cingular was even in existance. AT&T Wireless brought that out (at least in the Pgh, PA area) in the spring of 1998. Cingular was not even formed until 2001.

Leme guess, you have a girlfriend out of state? Or you go to school/work way aay from home and keep in touch with everyone at night?
5000 minutes = 83hours and 20 minutes. I have never come close to matching that total but I am not you. I am prety sure they can work something out with you.

We can't just "work something out". We can't invent plans that aren't there.

Okay, here's the thing... Cingular does offer unlimited nights & weekends now for all current rate plans other than the 39.99 single line plan. As far as 5000 minutes, everyone keeps saying "83.3" but the point is that no single line can go over that amount because i've done the math here. there is not enough time in a month's nights & weekends for a person to physically be capable of using that amount of minutes, so don't worry about it.

yes there is... seen quite a few times... nights are 9pm-6am, that's 9 hours or 540 minutes. Weekends are from Saturday Midnight to Monday Midnight, 48 hours or 2880 minutes. so, 20 days a month at 540 is 10800 and 2880 x 4 weekends equals 11520. Now, is anyone going to stay on the phone like that, not hardly. are there people who do not work normal 9-5 hours and talk on their phone at night or people who have family in Iraq or other parts of the world and they have to talk to them at night, yes... so...it is possible and people do it all the time.....

Cingular does have unlimited nights and weekends, and has had this feature for a long time. It depends what plan you are on though, all of the new plans except the $39.99 plan has unlimited nights and weekends. I suggest changing your plan if you are that worried about.

Yeah if you are on a Region, or a North America plan they do not include unlimited nights and weekends, or 29.99 a month plan!

Cingular does have free nights and weekends on any plan over $39.99 per month. If you don't want to pay more than that then you get 5000. If you go over 5000 night and weekend minutes, you need to see a psychiatrist because obviously you never sleep and you have no life without your phone glued to your ear.
