Is ATT going to carry either one of these phones? I live in California and they have a GSM netowrk here. If they are, do any of your guys know when? Thanks

The 300 is extremely similar to our X426 samsung, I spoke with a customer of ours who I had to give the WAP settings to make her SGH 300 phone connect to our internet. The 300 seemed to work on our network for her, but I personally would go with the 426 because it's similar to the 300 & the 426 is already setup to work on our network with no additional programming needed.

No its not, the x426 is a piece of junk. It doesnt even have a screen on the outside so how am I supposed to know whos calling me?

I am not planning on paying $300-$400 USD for the phone, that why i was asking if ATT is going to carry it.

Well I'm sorry if your opinion of one Samsung phone fails in comparison to another. AT&T Wireless does not manufacture the X426 of coarse, but we do providse the most quality products & services available to us. At this time I have seen no plans for ANY GSM provider in the US to carry the 300 series samsung phone (in other words, all providers checked out the phone, found it wasn't going to work on any of their towers the way they wanted it to & they decided not to carry it. I personally don't think the 300 series samsung is "a peice of junk" but by the US carriers choice not to use that phone has to tell you somthing about the phone overall.)

Just because no GSM provider has the phone yet means nothing about the phone. I had the Nokia 7210 for more than 6 months before ANY PROVIDER in the US carried it. It just means that cell phone providers are slow, stupid, and lazy. I have also used many unlocked phones that AT&T never carried on AT&T and I have never had a problem and all the features worked.

Where can you get these unlocked phones? And do they work with T-Mobile also? T-Mobiles phones right now are kind of weak but AT&T has some nice ones.

To be honest with you, I do not think any provider has any decent phones in the US. I think the feature packed ones are too big and the smalls ones suck and pretty much all of them look ugly to me. I have a Nokia 7210 that I bought a year ago and I think its better than anything else out there if you compare features and size.

You can get unlocked on ebay or you can just do a search for "unlocked phones" on yahoo. Make sure you have either a US phone or world phone and it will work with T-Mobile as long as the T-Mobile where you live uses a GSM network. I live in Los Angeles, CA and they have a GSM network, but their reception isnt that good.

At this point, the S300 is an older model. Don't expect it to be released with any new carriers.
