How will merger affect cincinnati bell?

Does anyone from at&t know how the merger will affect cincinnati bell wireless. Will this be a positive thing or negative. I am not getting any definitive answers from my reps.

lol..i realized as soon as i said that i would regret it..no im not threatening cincinnati bell..they a good company....and im not a terrorist...it was my warped sense of humor..i didnt mean it would blow up figurativly..just like it would be nonexsistant..like fizzle out with sparks and **** no like and explosion

The latest from WirelessWeek:

Cincinnati Bell has reached an accord with Cingular Wireless regarding its joint-venture agreement with AT&T Wireless. The new pact gives Cincinnati Bell access to lower roaming rates, while giving Cingular the green light to continue to compete in the regional phone company's markets once it merges with AT&T Wireless.

Under the existing joint-venture agreement, AT&T Wireless agreed not to compete in Cincinnati Bell markets. The new deal dissolves the non-compete clause, enabling Cingular to continue to compete with Cincinnati Bell in southwestern Ohio, northern Kentucky and southern Indiana after the merger.

Cincinnati Bells sees the agreement as a win. Cingular has agreed to offer the company reduced ...

Great News. Maybe I don't hate cingular like I always thought I did. More coverage means happier customers and more money in my pocket. Should be weird if Cincinnati bell offers the same coverage as cingular (or close) in a competing market. The big question is will cincy bell let cingular own 20% of them. 😎

Last i heard Cingular was still discussing those options with Cincinnati bell so unfortuantly your not going to get definitive answers from anyone. There are alot of different company's this is going to affect. Small mergers take up to a year to complete. This is the biggest merger in US wireless history. This should even be bigger than the Verizon's creation
