Sony Ericsson T226 unlock code

I recently had my T226 stolen/lost? My service plan is with Cingular. My brother-in-law was nice enough to give me his T226 that he had gotten with his AT&T plan. Since he wasn't using the phone (he bought something else) he had no use for it. I didn't realize this was going to be a problem. I figured as long as I put in a Cingular SIM card it would be fine. I had no idea I would have to "unlock" this phone. I found this out after I purchased a Cingular SIM card installed it and got the message "insert the correct SIM card". I called Sony Ericsson and explained the situation and asked them what was wrong. They informed me that I had to unlock it. I was told there is a code needed to do it but they could not give it to me, AT&T would have to ...

attws NEVER gives out the unlock, they fire employees who do.
if you want the phone unlocked you will have to find someone do to it, there are websites that will but i'm not sure if rich would let me post who the addy's so i am not going to.

You can buy unlock codes on Ebay usually. My friend has done this with Nokia's and Motorola's. You are basically just buying a key generator software which generates a unique code for you. They go for pretty cheap on Ebay.

I can see that all we ever do here is go in circles. If I recall correctly a little over a month ago we had almost the exact same post go on forever with the same stupid people asking the same stupid question over and ovr again. And each and every time the smart people here tell the losers who dont want to spend money for an unlocked phone that AWS will not provide an unlock code. Should we write this onto a baseball bat so we can smash it into your heads? Come on people, no matter how many times you ask the answer will be the same.

Yeek.

Just my interpretation here, but I thought he was asking for help outside of the AWS CC resident here. There are options for unlocking the phones, but they are ones that are unavailable to AWS CC.

I would direct the reader towards Ebay or Google if they are looking for assistance in crac...

Come on man spare me. This phone is like $50 bucks or less brand NEW from Cingular. Just buy a new phone and stop being cheap!!
