If a phone is unlocked, does that mean all you have to do is put in your sim card and you will have automatic reception and all that, or do you have to call your providor and get it done? I ask because the phones I am looking T are not AT&T phones but i want them so would that work? 😁

unlocked means you can put in a sim from any service provider and be able to use the phone. Most phones are locked so if you buy a phone from Cingular, you will not be able to use it with T-mobile unless you get it unlocked and vice versa.

only problem with a unlocked phone is that, well with Cingular anyway, we cant troubleshoot your phone as its not ours, and we cant gaurentee that all the avalible features will work properly... oh yeah and we dont give out the unlock code either.
