I just transferred over someones contract from celltradeusa.com and he is sending me his in good condition Sanyo 7400 along with the SERO plan.
I was told I have $150 to put towards a new phone by Sprint.

Has anyone done their research? Which Sprint phones should I consider for the new purchase?
Thanks 😳

Both of those suggestions were horrible IMHO, if you got free EVDO w/ that SERO plan get a PDA like the Treo 700p. Phones the Samsung M500, Samsung A920 (there are ways to get free PAM), Sanyo 8400, or the MOTORAZR.

dont get a PDA unless you need it. it will be larger than necessary, have confusing features that are usealess to you, and in the end, will probly be something thats more trouble than its worth.

post back with what youre looking for in a phone, and i'll give you more positive feedback.

or just go read the reviews for the Sprint phones that are so kindly provided for you by PhoneScoop. check out the features you need, compare phones side by side, and determine which phone would work best for you.

Free vision, if your smart enough to get on phonescoop and post you can probably handle the simplicity of the 700p.

I soo cant wait to get my 700p!! I'm dying here!!! 🤤

PS- the reviews on this site aren't too helpful. At the time, all the reviews for the Audiovox 8910 were pretty good so i bought it. 🙄

Thanks for all the input everybody!

I am thinking a Trio would be over kill for me.
For must haves I think my main phone needs are the basics. Good reception, strong signal, bluetooth, and descent battery life.

Somebody on the CNET cell site said Sanyo phones work best with Sprint. Never thought of getting a Sanyo.
Katana worthy?
I will do my homework to decide in the long run but reviews for users like you are what help with my decision.
The user I bought the contract from is sending me a Sanyo 7400. Old but supposedly in like new condition with go functionality.

Go with the Samsung M500 or the Sanyo 8400. Both great phones with all the features you need and at a great price! The 8400 is gonna have a much better speaker phone but the form factor of the M500 is what got me. It's so small and slim, fits perfectly in your pocket yet still easy to hold. Plus, the M500 supports mass storage so it's really easy to load files on it. The only downfall is the speaker is not the loudest (for speaker phone or listening to tunes). The RAZR is not bad either... but it would not be my first choice I don't think.

P.S. - The Katana is not bad if you don't want EVDO or a music player.

Forgot about EVDO. Thanks for the reminder on that. EVDO is a must.

If you got good credit you can buy the Treo 700p on ebay w. a new line of service for cheaper than you can buy the RAZR in the store. If EVDO is something you want, think of what you can do w. a Larger screen and full QWERTY keyboard, watch AVI, and MPG's full screen with full media player controls (can't do that on a phone) Better website capability, b/c you have a stronger processor and more room to view a website. Google Maps works on the Treo 700 p for free. PDAnet allows you to do phone as a modem for free on the Trea 700p so you get unlimited internet on your laptop, music player, that you can fast forward and rewind. Full e-mail (you can even do exchange servers) and have it pushed to your phone. And there are tos of applications you ...
