New Phone...please help! :)

Last Saturday, I went to the Sprint store to finally buy a new phone. I walked in dead set to buy the Samsung A900 and walked out with the LG Fusic.
I also posted this in "General"...

I don't know that "love" the Fusic. I've been told that I break up more on this phone vs. my old Sanyo 8100. And, I think I notice that when I'm speaking to someone, the sound isn't consistent - the volume goes up and down.

Basically I'm looking for a good overall phone. Yeah, the media player on the fusic is a cool feature but I guarantee that in 2-weeks, I won't use it anymore. I would like a phone with great reception, durable and have a decent speakerphone. Those are my 3 "biggie's".

Anyone have any thoughts, opinions, input regarding these 2 pho...

I would not use the MM features of the M1 though...it seems silly for me to pay the extra $$ for features I wouldn't use.

I basically use my phone to talk...and that's it.

I'm "cheap" and refuse to give Sprint more money for features I'd quit using after a few weeks or so. I don't even know how to text message - Nor do I think it's worth paying extra for ๐Ÿ™‚

๐Ÿคฃ why did you buy the Fusic or A900 then? It seems everyone here loves Sanyo so unless I'm wrong, I'd say get the 2400.

Sorry I don't have anything positive to say about tmobile their coverage is very sub- par compared with sprint and verizon, between the call clarity and their swiss cheese network i ported to sprint.

with that said I wouldn't allow that to discourage you from giving them a shoot might be just perfect for you.

I think the Fusic is a really awesome phone, personally. I've never had any problems with the call quality or speaker volume, and the media players and FM transmitter = w00t. (This may be irrelevant to the original poster, but some dude replied and called my phone a piece of "garbage" and I simply MUST speak out! ARRRRHHH! ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Anyway...

The 8400 would probably be a good bet for you, as it encompasses all of your "biggies" rather well. Sanyos, with their external antennas, are famous for excellent reception and amazing call quality. Also, the 8400 has to be one of the most sturdy, durable phones offered on the Sprint side of Sprint/Nextel. Oh, and speakerphone? You got it, sister (brother?). ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the input! I'm going to "play" with the fusic for another 5-7 days and decide from there. If I do exchange it, I'll look at the Sanyo.
