nextel migration
im with nextel, whats envolved if i wanna migrate to the sprint side? Is there another credit check envolved etc?

It's been a while, but last I checked if you're eligible for an upgrade you can get the discounts on the phone and go over to the Sprint side with a new contract. I'm not aware of them running a new credit check.
If you're not eligible for an upgrade, you can still move but you'll pay full price on the phone. I won't take offense if anyone corrects any misinformation I've given.

They do need to run your credit (credit scan). Sprint and Nextel deposits are different. But are correct about the upgrade policy. If you are eligible for the discount you can apply it to either the old Nextel account or start new account with Sprint and use the discount to purchase a Sprint phone.

what if you defaulted with sprint years ago, owing them money, and are curently with nextel(account in good standing) and want to switch?

You will have to pay off what you owe Sprint before coming back. Most likely if your account in in write off you will have a deposit as well.
