Is there a real difference in network between boost and t-mobile?

Network difference between t-mobile and boost? i know both have smaller networks but is there a difference in network size and call quality? im just wondern. i ask here becas sprint owns boost

Boost uses Nextel Network for its service.

T-Mobile uses a GSM network, and although it is not as large as other US Carriers, it is quite large in the UK (good to know if you plan on travelling there). Also, since it is GSM, your INTL roaming options are widely increased. Also, T-Mobile is not a pre-paid service. It requires monthly fees and a contract.
Boost Mobile is based on Nextels iDen network. They are a pre-paid service. Since iDen isnt really used by anyone aside from Nextel/Boost Mobile, and those companies dont have service in other countries, you would roam if you left the US. Fortunately, iDen is GSM-based, so again, your roaming options are widely available.

iDen is based on old TDMA... Up until recently int'l roaming w/ Nextel was done by renting or buying their global phone (usually a Moto V-series GSM-quadband) that ONLY could be used overseas, not on iDen USA native network... So basically I guess you switched SIMs or it possibly req'd a new one.

It's still comparing apples & nipples. If you like PTT, go w/ Boost. If you like cheaper voice rates, go w/ T-Mo...

actually both GSM and IDEN are tdma derivatives. and iden is not a usa native network. iden is in over 30 countries outside the us.

over all for voice i would say t-mob and nextel are about=

if you want ptt then the only real ptt out there is iden. sprint will be launching duel mode phones in the next quarter. that is what i recomend. then you can get true ptt with true nation wide coverage. with sprint you have access to the largest voice coverage area out of any us carrier. you also get the lowest international roaming rates. granted you may have to rent a gsm to roam, but keep in mind the majority of gsm phones sold in the us will not work out side of the us eather.
