I don't know which phone to choose from with Sprint. I'm not a very heavy user, and use a cell phone for quick calls, though I might be using it some more in the future.

I just want a phone that works, doesn't crack down, is reliable, has speakerphone, and nice call quality, and is clamshell. I'm not really into the whole camera thing because I already have a digi camera so.... 🙄

Anyways, I've looked and looked and don't know what to choose...I saw the Sanyo 2400, I thought it looked a bit too bulky, and that was about the only cell phone without a camera with an external display, which I'm also not sure to get or not.

Thanks!

I just looked at the article about Sprint coming out with those new Motorola phone in Q4, does anyone ( preferably Sprint employees) have any info about all this?

I love those cells and wonder if and when they would be coming out.

Ahh, it's not like they'll re-introduce the old StarTac phone so... IMO, that worked the best on Sprint's network...

I would really consider the Samsung A900 "a basic phone without camera". I think the Sanyo 2400 is a great choice.

Sanyo phones work great on the Sprint network, and I agree with previous posts that the 2400 would be a great choice. It comes in cute colors, and is free after a 30.00 mail in rebate.

Another phone I would suggest would be the Samsung A640, I know you said you didn't need a camera but its a really great phone and is only 29.99 after mail in rebate. Plus with that phone you get bluetooth, an internal antenna, and a really cool outer display.

Okay, good , good, I've got a couple more questions:

1. What about the Katana?
2. Does anyone have any dates about the Motorola phones or is it just the Q coming out on Sprint?
3. Humdizzle, how come you said A900 was the basic phone without a camera, though it has a 1 megapixel camera? 😕

Thanks for your help so far by the way!

lol, That's okay. I think I'm probably going to get either the Sanyo 2400 or the 3100. Thanks y'all!

Do you specifically DO NOT want a camera, because online, sprint offers free phones that have a camera too. The SCP-2400 is not free, and it doesnt have a camera. Unless you work in a place where you arent allowed to have camera phones, i'd recommend you try the Samsung SPH-A640. The a640 also have Bluetooth!

The 2400 ends up being free after a $30 mail-in-rebate. The A640 isn't free, it's 29.99 after $20 mail-in-rebate. I work in a corporate Sprint store, so it may be different in other locations.

Last time I checked, the A640 was free after an instant online rebate. I always buy my phones online so I can get a cheap price instantly w/out mail in rebates

Online yes, in the store no. A lot of times online they have "web specials"

I didn't know you were talking about online pricing

Yes web specials. Generally phone prices are cheaper online.
