Just wondering if anyone out there was working for a partners group before sprint bought them out. Example we were in the ubiquitel market, and i am wondering if the changes were for better or worse.

I worked in an Alamosa market and we were bought out in March. So far (besides more meetings every month) it seems to be okay. They are definitely more strict on meeting quotas and such.

Were you working for a sprint store or an indirect /3rd party store?

I was told by many people who are in Nextel Partner’s areas when the merger was completed that it was very smooth. I also have talked to other affiliates were being bought out and they mentioned that things are going smoothly. I am not sure if that continues today, because I have not spoken to them in a week or so.

These guys are managers and regional directors so yea. In addition, other contacts have been saying the same things. (channel checks also were another source) The stores were both corp stores and indirect/3rd party stores.

I was (nice name, BTW!)......changes were better as far as plans go, but, changeover has been HIDEOUS. I am not yet able to buy the new phones, and am losing sales over this issue.

Do you own a store in a market that was bought out? Are you having to go through brightpoint to order phones?
