Sony Ericsson T608 IS coming out!!
I sent an email to Sprint regarding the T608 by Sony Ericsson. Here is the responce I got:

that the launch of this phone has not been cancelled. Please keep

That sounds good and all but you can't necessarily believe everything they tell you because things can change in a hurry.

I have written them many time just to see if I got any different responce, they have all said it is coming real soon. none of them were Pre-type bullcrap, I always asked for the replies to be manually answered and typed. I have also spoken to a few old supervisors of mine at the Call center I worked at, they have said it is coming too... VZW canceled the T606 which is wut version they were coming out with, but Sprint has not cancelled it yet.

It is coming and has been approved. Sprint is waiting on SE to manufacture it (they are being slow) and after it is shipped it will be on the website and at Ford Dealers.

I recently bought this phone. It really has problems. I am told that this was introduced to market but removed from the market. Slow operation (Power up takes a life time!!). battery life less than an hour (at least mine).
I have not had a chance of using Blue Tooth yet!! (thinking to trash this). Support from Sprint: NONE (they refer you to Stores. I went to many of them, none was willing to touch it!!). After that experience I called back. Shamelessly they told me the same thing. When you tell Sprint the Stores don't support it, they refer you to TeleSale. I have not called the TeleSale yet!

The T608 is no longer in development and was pulled a year (maybe two now) ago by SE and Sprint when they entered a fued. The phone itself has many problems that were going to be fixed in a Firmware upgrade, but SE (or Sprint?) never released it. SE has tried to distance itself from that phone and CDMA in general. I would recommend that you ditch the phone asap and depending on how much money you have go for the LG PM325.
