Worst Website Ever

imcoolerthanyou

Mar 20, 2006, 5:32 PM
Sprint has the worst website I have ever seen. I spent 15 minutes looking for phones. I called the customer service line while I was on the website they couldn't direct me to the phones. I am amazed that anyone can even be in business with such a confusing website. On the website there is one phone and you can't see anything else! Even on the "Other Phones" Tab there is only one phone! Wow. Its so amazing. Anyone know why it sucks so bad?

I think you just answered your own post. W/ almost 46 million customers, strange that some of us have the brain power to navigate a website. IMO, they have one of the best carrier websites out there.

Remember, the pedal on the right makes you go, the one on the left makes you stop. Good luck!!

Ok Let's take this step by step.

1. Type www.sprint.com
2. Click WIRELESS (business or personal) your choice.
3. Scroll a bit down where you see SHOP THE SPRINT/NEXTEL STORE ONLINE (pick Sprint or Nextel) again your choice.
4. Click PHONES
5. Type in your zip code.
6. Phones should appear available per your area.

If you are having problems I don't know what else to tell you.

Hope this helps!!!!

I followed all of those steps (despite the rude remarks) and i ended up looking at landline phones! This is so amazing how bad this is. When I put in my zip code it gives me ONE phone. THe LG-PM 225. Where are all of the other phones? Maybe its because of my area. I live in a city of 600,000 plus. And even if I didnt why cant you see the phones? Maybe I will travel somewhere later and so I want to see the phones. The Customer Service rep just told me to go to a store. Great customer service guys.

Honestly, on the home page-click wireless, then choose a side (sprint or nextel), then click-PHONES, type zip code(thats the 5 digit code the united states post office uses btw) and there are all the phones. This is not a hard process. If you called customer service because you don't know how to look at phones on a website, you should be directed to a store. They may have thought you were handicapped and needed assistance in person. 🤣

Isn't the LG PM225 a wireless phone?? And Why would Sprint mislead you by showing you phones in an area where service isn't likely to be acquired?????? Myself, I think that was a GOOD thing to show you know phones since service isn't existent or barely working (based on population) So you waste none of your time trying Sprint there.

in partial defense of imcoolerthanyou, a few months ago when i tried to find the phones on the website (yes i navigated correctly) it said that there was service in my area but it wouldn't pull up any phones or plans & it said something about visiting a store (i was able to see some if i listed the zip for kck).however, NOW with my zip it will show the available phones. i think it was just that sprint was still working on getting the new site up & running after the merger.

First off, I really doubt caldwell, idaho (wherever that is) has 600,000 people. Secondly, it says explicitly that there is no coverage when you put in that zip code. Where you get that it shows one phone is beyond me. And if you are so persistant to see what phones sprint has, even though you couldn't have sprint if you wanted, why not look at this website you are posting on. It has all of the new phones sprint offers. 😳 So, Im really sorry for your employees, its quite obvious you think inside a very small box.

The message you are getting is because you live in a market no ran by sprint. All cellular companies help start off service in an area by gaining an affliate market company. Alamosa is one shuck market. Alamosa ran stores for sprint an over 15 states in order to build up sprint service. Now sprint has bought back alamosa as the customer base has grown. Your market is in the same kind of setup. You are under an affliate which means that the plans and service they offer are the same as sprints, but the plans and phones are chosen by that company. This is why your sprint site states to can customer care or, go to a store so that you can find the offers that are for your area.

Not completely true...

I live in a formerly owned Alamosa territory. The website hasn't changed at all, and I now because I used to live in Vegas and Salt Lake, and the site was no different between here and those two places.

Not sure why the site is acting up like it is for that area.

Mar 25, 2006, 7:39 PM
Not all markets chose to run only plans and information they approve. Lets take the West Texas Market as an example. Up until the first of this month Alamosa ran the web site for this area, therefore when you typed in the Zip it directed you to a web site other that sprint that has information on the area. As you were saying not all markets do this. Amarillo, Texas is in the west texas market, but zip codes for that area are not redirected, due to all plans being offered in that market. Its a very hard thing to track, the difference between markets, that is why Sprint is currently buying back all there secondary markets. This way one plan workers everywhere.

🤣 Plug in 48768 and see what happens. Sprint says they have service in that area....you know, "Fair and Flexible", "No roaming" etc.

They'll even send you the phones. Problem is, they don't work without roaming. I racked up a $300+ roaming charge and many hours of frustration with their "customer no-service" and tech idiots.

Fortunately I got out in 13 days. They did cancel the roaming charges.

OK cooler, lets see........hmmmmm....I went to Sprint.com and on the home page under WIRELESS, about the middle of the page a tad to the left, it says: Find the phones, plans and features that fit who you are". and from there its pretty self explanatory. Have a feeling service isn't available in your area mainly because of population.

It is amazing that I am right about the website and everyone is still so rude about it. First of all Caldwell is outside of Boise which does have 500,000 - 600,000 people in the area. Second there are sprint stores all over the place. So now we see that I do know how to use a website and that the website says there is coverage there (which there is) and that the website does not show phones. So back to the original statement the website is poor. Sorry guys, and from this experience it looks like Sprint employees are just as bad as the website.

Cooler than you is kind of a dumb name, but he never asked for help in locating sprint phones, only made mention of the fact that the website doesn't direct to phones. I tried it out myself, 2 phones. I clicked every freaking link to phones on the website, and that's right...2 phones. If you are going to reply to this you might need to read the previous post. There are Sprint/Nextel stores everywhere here. It is a big market. It has been in the top fastest growing cities for the last few years. There is coverage everywhere. I was just wondering why there are no phones on the site. THe fact is there is one. That is it. The site doesn't reflect the zip code. It is a mistake. The site is inaccurate. Get over it.

there arnt sprint or nextel stores everywhere there, becuase as many people are trying to explain to you; you are in an affiliate area. that is why there is only 1-2 phones available and 1-2 plans instead of the phone and rate plan availability in regular markets..

if it is a mistake, let sprint/nextel know and they will fix it..

you are the only one who thinks that is the case..

get over it? i think perhaps you should and if you have so much hate towards this company, then leave and go some where else.

this is what you said; "When I put in my zip code it gives me ONE phone. THe LG-PM 225. Where are all of the other phones? Maybe its because of my area. I live in a city of 600,000 plus." perhaps you should actually listen to...

I wonder if your area is/was under an affiliate market. My area used to be under the Alamosa PCS market and when I log on the website to look at phones it directs me to some other website to view the phones/set-up service. It probably has something to do with the merger and affiliate markets but I can't be sure. Someone who has access should look up Boise and see what market that is/was.
