Hello, I am a Sprint user and have a couple of questions about my PCS email. I hope to avoid a call to the customer support if I can.

1) How is it possible I received an email a day in advance from when it says it was delivered?
Recently, I had checked my email from the website and there was a email that had listed as the day of arrival the next day, which is not possible.

2) I keep receiving random junk emails that contain content that makes absolutely no sense. The messages are often 10k+ in size and seem to contain no content to warrant that size and contain no attachments.

I don't use Sprint's email system, although I have an address, but the only thing I can comment on is the time issue. A lot of E-mail servers run off GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), which is 6 hours ahead of Central time U.S., 5 hours ahead of Eastern time zone, etc. If you take 6 hours off the time it says it was delivered it will prob match up with the time it says you received it. Correct, it could be whatever time that particular server was set for, the same way your PC (Windows) has a clock in the bottom right corner. When you eventlogs are created, it uses that time...

While most of the questions are technical in nature, you might want to call SprintPCS and select 'Tech' instead of 'Customer Service' because some of those questions might be met with a blank stare.

I mainly use it to have my gmail forwared to it, and it alerting me on my cell phone. I do have it set up on my phone to have the incoming come from my SprintPCS mail and my outgoing go from my gmail. That way, people don't know I'm sending it from my phone. I haven't used it yet, but, just in case I need to send something.

As for the advertising, remember, it is free. It's like...
