My mom kicked me off of her account, and I have had time to build my credit by getting Credit cards and keeping them paid up. I know I want to come to Sprint but I am stuck between 2 phones. The Nextel Motorola I870 and the Sprint Sanyo 9000. I want to know which one do you guys think I should get.

I am looking for a dependable, durable phone, that has cool features. I am more into coolness than anything. I want the MP3 player and stuff.

The only thing that really tears me apart as of now is the fact the Sprint phones has the TV and Nextel phones doesn't.

What do you guys think??

Well the answer is simple, get the Sanyo 9000. If you go with Nextel, you will have a much smaller coverage area, and the phones suck. Sanyo is the best handset manufacturur, next to Samsung. With the 9000 you can also get the MiniSD cards to hold your music/pictures/videos... 🙂

The 9000 all the way. I currently have the Samsung 940 (Also a great choice if you haven't already considered it) and EV-DO is just amazing. You'll find the browser in the 940 a bit faster, though, than the 9000.

True, the miniSD may support 1Gb whereas microSD (TransFlash) is limited to 512Mb, but a 1Gb version is being developed now. Besides, who really needs THAT much memory for a cell phone? Don't choose your phone over a memory card size.

Thanks, cause I was actually almost went towards the Nextel, cause I like the fact that they had both types of memory and the Bluetooth and some other things but I guess now that I look at it, the SAnyo 9000 has more features...

If you are going for the coolness factor, get the Samsung a900 Blade phone. It does everythin that the Sanyo 9000 can, but its as this as the Cingular/T-Mobile Razer.

I personally have the 8300 and it works wonderful. The 9000 adds a memory card slot and EV-DO. It is also a lot more expensive than the 8300. Sanyo has been rated the tops as far as cell phone makers.

Good luck with picking out a phone.

I would have went went the new Samsung, but years ago. I had so many problems with my many Samsung phones, I switched it for a Sanyo phone back then. I have been with Sanyo since, and I promised myself I would never go with a Samsung pgone again.

But I am getting 2 lines, one for my personal line and one for my business. I am getting the Nextel I870 for Business line and The Sanyo 9000 for my personal line.

Samsung and Sayno are the best. The Samsung Blade is nice, but doesnt not have removable memory. Remember that. A music phone that can only hold 30 MB worth of songs is not really good music phone.
