EPIC < EVO

How can anyone say the EPIC is a better phone, aside from the personal preference on having a phisical keyboard. Every spec is either the same or better on the EVO unless there is something i missed. The screen is nice yeah but not anything special from me using them side by side. Also youtube videos suck on the EPIC, they look like watching a 13" tv from 1985 compared to an EVO being an HDTV, no exageration. The only other issue is battery life which is BS honostly..anyone who isnt getting 13-15 hours out of their EVO is doing something wrong, i get that with my 4G on. And thats after the 2.2 update took 4 hrs of battery life from my phone (still pissed about that). And then on top of all that the EPIC is gonna be $50 more expensive than th...

DNLA compliant is the big one. I don't remember that being on the EVO spec list. Also, the samsung rep I spoke with (A guy samsung and sprint pay to know their stuff, and go around and do demos said the processing speeds on the epic would be roughly double that of the EVO. Now I'm certain that was quite a bit of an exaggeration, but I'm sure the bus speeds (the only that that can make a processor faster) are better on the EPIC.

Honestly. With as fast as the EVO is, I doubt the differences will be noticeable, other than the screen. I have held both phones in my hand however, and minus the small decrease in screen size, the EPIC looks WAY better on everything I saw.

I got to play with an EPIC and evo side by side the otherday 😁 , and i must say the epic is way faster and fun to play with than the evo IMO. And thats with the epic running 2.1. 😎

But the Epic is probably the phone I'd go with. Slide out keyboard and a few extra perks that look comparable to what HTC Sense has to offer.

The .3 inch difference in screen size between the two is hardly noticeable, and even less so given the clarity and brightness of the Epic's Super AMOLED screen.

All I can say is that I'm excited to start selling them.

I went last night and played with both, I can for sure say the EVO is a better device. The screen on the EPIC is the only stand out feature I could find.

I've played with both head-to-head at a local Corp Sprint Store and have found the following couple of observations while on 3G with WiFi and 4G BOTH TURNED OFF:

1. Internet Browsing: Evo 4G, inspite of having Froyo vs. the Epic 4G having Eclair, was faster here. Plus the default browser on the Epic 4G did not support Flash Video and nor did it allow the Desktop formats of most of the websites being queried to display. www.google.com was successful to display. However, when I tried www.yankees.com, I got m.ww...

Thank you! I've used them both side by side. And aside from a more vibrant screen and physical keyboard..EVERYTHING seemed better and/or quicker to launch on the EVO. I just don't get the reviews. To be fair and quote my favorite movie...this is like comparing two hatori hanzo swords. The EPIC is still an amazing phone, but better than the EVO?? I don't see how.

With the iMedia Share App now on the Sprint Android Marketplace, the Evo 4G - Epic 4G phone comparison is much closer than before. And yes nay sayers, it works seemlessly! HDMI wire? Unless you don't have DLNA enabled equipment, who needs it? 😎 🤣 😲 😳

I have owned both and I can honestly say I prefer the Epic. Even when I was at the store the reps said they preferred the Epic. Sense on the Evo looks nice but when you use the epic it just makes SENSE. Slide down to read text message, camera features are way better, battery life I think is dramatically better. I have been using it all day and still have 75%. Its like Mac and Windows the Evo (windows) may have the higher specs but the Epic (Mac) still performs better with half the specs. I loved my evo but I am not missing it at all since switching to the Epic. I think both devices are great, but for me personally I like the Epic better. I remember when the Evo came out thinking it was the best phone ever made. Then the Epic comes along..

But the Moment was arguably the "better" phone. Even though it lacked a fancy overlay, it had a slightly faster processor.
