New to Sprint -- Comments and questions

So I am moving from St Louis to San Antonio next month and just activated with Sprint since my current provider -- US Cellular -- doesn't have native coverage or stores down there.

I was able to get two EVO's relatively quickly and set up with one of the family plans ($129 any time any mobile). I was super happy with the set up process and the overall interaction and thought the 1st call with the Sprint rep was super impressive. I've worked in wireless before and the first impression was a very good one.

I've got a few questions though, that didn't come up until after I got off the phone and hoped for help from here:
1.) My job (Enterprise RAC) gets a 20 or 25% discount from Sprint, but the lady with CS couldn't apply it to my ac...

OTIS was correct on all 3 counts; I would also like to add that if you call in to add the discount, it would be best to have the Corp ID on hand. It usually looks something like this: NAWVB_ZZZ, or something equally nonsensical. If you don't have it, that's fine; we can look it up. But that's the best way to make sure you get the correct discount.

I found it was only a 15% discount, but go to a corporate Sprint store and give them this:
NARAC_ZZZ
The code for Enterprise Rent-A-Center. Its easier to do it at a store. Ask them about ReadyNOW to answer all your questions about the phone. Yep you can pay your bill early and there is no charge at all to do so. And YES, i would definately upgrade to Android 2.2 its official now and fixed a couple of bugs, also Flash on the browser plays amazing!! Go for it. It adds new little widgets like the FM radio, and even Flashlight app that comes in very handy!! Any questions reply back, i will subscribe to this thread to make sure all your questions get answered 😉

I appreciate all the responses from Sprint people in the know ... you all have helped increase that good first impression of the company and I appreciate it.

I wonder if I was told 20-25% by the rep b/c he was an agent and maybe his particular company (Wireless Solutions) offers that particular amount? It's no matter 15% is still better than nothing, I'm just curious about the discrepancy.

W/Android 2.2 I'm not too hesitant to do it and probably will soon but if it doesn't work can I go back to 2.1?

I would jump on 2.2 As far as i know, theres no way to jump back to 2.2 But yeah you cant beat the service and the phone!! It really is awesome. I would check with the guy who sold you the phones to see if he has the corporate code so you can get that added on there if it is a company promotion through Wireless Solutions

1. I tried to look for a discount with Enterprise RAC and found no discount also tried only RAC and it said Your search returned too many results. Try refining your search, so ask human resource for the CorpID
2. you can pay as much as you want to but the proration would still be showed on the bill, usually the first bill is proration, plan charge (129.99 + 10.00 evo fee + 10.00 evo fee), additional add on (insurance, international calls etc.) also we usually only charge 36.00 of one activation fee and on the second bill the other 36.00
3.that is your opinion but alot of customers made the update and called us to say how great their phone is, so I would recommend it.

anything else I could help you with?
