I am almost positive that all the NEW Blackberry devices require a data pack.
At least you have to have that data pack to qualify for rebates.
If you have no interest in Data may I suggest the Sanyo 2700, the phone looks slightly like a blackberry but is just intended to text and make calls.

I would say get the Talk Share 700 minute Plan for $69.99 and Unlimited text is only $20 per line, ends up being a little more for less minutes than the data plan, of course depending how many lines you have and are wanting unlimited text. Hope this helps.

It's a huge waste to get a blackberry but not use data/email on it. If you want a phone for voice and text get geared towards those features.
