SAMSUNG MOMENT PROBLEMS
I have had a Moment for about a month now. It keeps dropping calls. When talking on it, my chin keeps muting or opening apps. I have exchanged it, and the new one does the same thing. Is anyone else having these problems?
...
well i think the part about your chin would be your problem alone but as far as the dropped calls, nope not had any issues.
...
My chin should not activate anything. The screen should be dead when im talking and its up against my ear.
...
No its shouldn't, that would take a proximity sensor like the pre has... if your screen went dead when you talked you wouldn't be able to multitask with it if you have a person on speaker.... Its either A: your chin is huge B: you don't use your hands and squeeze your cheek to your shoulder C: Have the touch sensitivity to high on your phone.
...
I owned the Moment for about a month and the phone would constantly be put on mute because the proximity sensor wasn't working properly. I've also heard this from many others on different forums. Maybe it's just a setting that can be changed but that did happen to me on every call.
...
Never had the muting issues, but mine...
1. Software is EXTREMELY slow for all that supposed processing power.
2. Drops EVDO coverage all the time.
3. Drops calls
Just not very happy.

I bought the Moment on New Years Day because Radio Shack has it for $99. I hate it. It's a beautiful phone, but I roam, drop calls and my network (internet) always goes out. Never had that problem at all with Sprint over the past 9 years! Also, my face mutes the person I'm talking too alot. I'm taking it back to Radio Shack in about two hours and getting the Pre, it's on sale for $79! Your'e not doing anything wrong, I'm having these same problems and it's driving me crazy, plus the battery dies in about three hours, and yes, I've condiotioned the stupid thing!!!
