That is so true and sad...I wonder if Leap Wireless and Metro PCS were to combine forces, could they take over Sprint?

I highly doubt it. Both Metro PCS and Leap are too small to acquire a carrier the size of Sprint. At this point, I don't see Sprint being bought out by anyone given the credit crises, etc, who would finance such a takeover?! And with Sprint's current debt, it would be a deal breaker. Plus who wants to inherit the Sprint Nextel networks? Both sides have small native networks.

I think Sprint will probably bleed itself to the point where it may have to become an MVNO or it may reduce itself down to a regional carrier. I don't think Sprint will go completely out of...

Someone just needs to call Bill Gates and/or Warren Buffett. I'm sure those two would lend some money over to Leap Wireless and Metro PCS for a Sprint buy out. Sprint's native 1.9GHz network is larger than the combined one of Leap Wireless and Metro PCS. Imagine a 100% all digital national network where you can have unlimited voice/messaging/data service for less than $65 per month.
